Current Opening:
Job Title: Managed Care Specialist--Work/Life Counselor
Job Description: Authorization of requests for inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. Performs continued care utilization review both by telephone and with written request forms. Negotiates with treatment providers for single case agreements and ongoing network affiliation provisions of care. Provision of Employee Assistance Casework. Performs assessment and short term counseling with employees from a wide range of client companies. Performs on site activities including crisis intervention, downsizings, wellness seminars, and group interventions.
Requirements: Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Must be familiar with guidelines for care for inpatient, partial hospitalization, IOP and outpatient levels of care for mental health and substance abuse treatment.
Must be familiar with DSM IV/IV-R criteria and ASAM guidelines.
