This distinguished panel explored the very real issues of boundaries between executive coaching and the clinical worlds of counseling and psychotherapy. They shared their perspectives on the challenges of determining whether a prospective or existing coachee is better served by counseling or psychotherapy – or can be best helped by both coaching and another intervention. The panel discussed the benefits of proper assessment, signs that point to a preferred intervention, and resources to assist those coaches in need of guidance. The session concluded with an interactive dialogue and recommendations from the panelists.
